You might be interested in knowing that English (and German, Scottish,
etc) "church" come from Greek KURIAKOS, one of the only non-scientific
words to be borrowed directly from Greek (i. e. without Latin being the
intermediary) into Germanic I.E. languages. Just for the record.....;)
