It has already been well pointed out that this statement is a quotation from
Deut. 27:26, where the inf. is clearly one of purpose. Another factor with
the proposed rendering, I think, is that the "external" idea must be
imported; it is not implied by the verb (here inf.) POIEW itself, nor by the
context. POIEW has the idea of performance, not the appearance thereof.
Incidentally, take note of v. 13 (which intends to answer the problem of v.
10): CRISTOS hHMAS EXHGORASEN EK THS KATARAS TOU NOMOU...
I grant that the conclusion is exegetical rather than strictly grammatical,
but I suggest that this statement demonstrates that those in question in v.
10 are not those who merely pervert/abuse the law (by treating it
legalistically, externally, etc.), but rather ALL those who are under it.
Otherwise, Paul's redemption in v. 13 would only apply to legalists (etc.)!
