Alex,
I'm sure the excercise was wanting you to go with a substantival
participle as the object. (cf. Carl's suggestions) That sounds like
good Greek to me. For instance,
Matt. 10:40b KAI hO EME DECOMENOS DECETAI TON APOSTEILANTA ME.
Notice that this sentence also used an aorist accusative participle.
Searching on Accordance showed that 945 of the 949 occurences of an
accusative participles in the NT had an accusative article within 3
words preceding it.
