Even "who IS the father of us all....BEFORE the
God whom he believed" does not make a good sense to me.
Moon, I do not see any problem with the view that this clause, which is
really a prepositional phrase, goes with "who is the father of us all."
KATENANTI would then have the standard lexical sense of "in the sight of,"
meaning here "in the judgment of." It would modify ESTIN adverbially.
Abraham is the father of us all in the estimation of the One who He
believed. That One happens to be God, who brings the dead to life and calls
what does not exist into existence.
