Some people on this list may not be familiar with the methodology being
employed in this question. This procedure falls under the heading of
semantic componential analysis for a constituent above the level of the
clause. It this case the whole quote is being treated as a single semantic
unit and the semantic component under consideration is "an AGENT
participating in eschatological wrath/judgement."
This no doubt will seem a bit odd to some people, even to some linguists who
do semantic componential analysis as a part of lexical semantics. This is an
extension, derivation or what ever you want to call it, from the standard
methods used in lexical semantics.
