Could I Cor. 2:13 be translated:
"Which things we (are) speak(ing), not in words taught by human wisdom,
but in spiritual things taught by the spirit, combining/explaing spiritual
things."
In other words, making a parallel translation between:
1.DIDAKTOIS 2.ANQRWPINHS SOFIAS 3.LOGOIS
and
1. DIDAKTOIS 2.PNEUMATOS 3.PNEUMATIKOIS
(DIDAKTOIS to DIDAKTOIS and LOGOIS to PNEUMATIKOIS)
As N-A punctuates the verse, and as most translate it, PNEUMATIKOIS
PNEUMATIKA SUGKRINONTES is treated as a separate clause - "combining
spiritual things with spiritual things" or "explaining spiritual things to
spiritual persons."
Does the participle SUGKRINONTES require that PNEUMATIKOIS and PNEUMATIKA
be related to each other in the same clause (i.e., because "combine"
requires that one thing be combined with another thing) - and hence THAT
is why N-A and translations punctuate it as they do?
