[b-greek] autous in Mt28:19

Greetings
I am wondering what autous specifically refers to in Matt 28:19. At first I
thought it referred to the "nations" (ethne) but then I saw how that ethne
was neuter and autous is masculine. Are these suppose to agree in tense? Or
am I missing something? Thanks for your help
