sust. ag. article - FYI

For all who may not already be aware - coverage by a relatively
  mainstream magazine:

There is an article in the Sept. Scientific American (circ. ~660,000)
titled "Technology for Sustainable Agriculture" by Donald L. Plucknett
and Donald L. Winkemann, pp. 182-186, (part of a section on Energy and
Environment which includes positive articles on Solar Energy, Fusion,
Ecological Industrial Economies). Discusses use of pest vacuums, Bt,
aquaculture, biodiversity, and land-sparing through use of high-yield
  crops.
