Re: my comments on making an effort to learn Greek - If I recall
correctly, both Edward Hobbs and Edgar Krentz also wrote nice responses
to my query a couple years ago about the benefits of learning Classical
Greek in addition to Koine. My post only mentioned Carl Conrad's
inspiring response, but I wish also to thank Messrs. Hobbs and Krentz
for encouraging me by what they wrote - I remember copying and printing
them all and sharing them with the students in my Greek class.
Unfortunately, a glance at the archives didn't turn up these responses,
so if they're there, I'll keep looking; if not, maybe they'll surface
someday.
