I'm still working on alternatives for an inscription/dedication, and I
need the proper form of a verb. And I don't have a comprehensive Greek
grammar yet (that lack is fast becoming a problem!).
The idea I am currently working on involves a verb *form* found in ,
which reads "INA DOCASQHI O UIO TOU QEO".
What I need for my purposes is the form of the verb MEGALUNW that
corresponds to the form of the verb DOCAZW that appears in this
citation. I suspect it might be MEGALUNQHI, but the conjunction of the
voiced N and the unvoiced Q makes me wonder if there's some sort of
transform that's supposed to apply here.
In other words, "As DOCAZW is to DOCASQHI, so MEGALUNW is to _________".
Can someone fill in that blank for me?
My current idea for this inscription is "INA MEGALUNQHI H TOU QEOU
DOCA", presuming, of course, that my guess is correct. Is this good
idiomatic Koine? What corrections should I make (idiomatic and
grammatical)?
