Carl is on target. Check Timaeus 37D 5-7: EIKW D' EPENOEI KINHTON TINA
AIWNOS LOIHSAI, KAI DIAKOSMWN hAMA OUIRANON POIEI MENIONTOA AIWNOS EN hENI
KAT' ARIQMON IOUSAN AIWNION EIKONA, TOUTON hON DH CRONON WNOMAKAMEN.

Tr. by F. M;l Cornford: "Now the nature of Living Being was eternal, and
this character it was impossible to confer in full completeness on the
generated thing. But he took thought to make, as it were, a moving likeness
of terenity; and, at the same time that he ordered the Heaven, he made, of
eternity that abides in unity, an everlasitng likeness moving according to
number--that to which we have given ethe name time." Francis M. Cornford,
_Plato's Cosmology_. New York: The Liberal Arts Press, 1957, pp.97-98.

I did not find this definition in the hOROI, as Carl though one would. By
the way, the resource to consult for something like this is F. Ast,
_Lexicon Platonicum_.Thanks for making me reread a bit of Plato.

I did not find a reference for Carl's definition of CRONOS that reads
something like CRONOS MEN ESTIN EN hWi POLLOI EISIN KAIROI, KAIROS D' ESTIN
EN hWi OUK ESTIN POLUS CRONOS. I did a rapid check of Long-Sedley _The
Hellenistic Philosophers_ without success. The same is truf o F. E.
Peter's _Greek Philosophical Terms: A Historical Lexicon._
