Re. Phoebe as a "deaconess"--

Any discussion of this verse is incomplete if it does not touch on the letter
of Trajan, which (ca. 125) refers to two women as deaconesses in a technical
sense. I don't have my resources here--summer time, no good library access,
etc.--but perhaps someone can post references and a better summary than I can
conjure up from memory.
