'hOI PNEUMATI QEOU LATREUONTES'

Should this verse be translated:
'(we) worship by the Spirit of God'
or 'we worship the Spirit of God' ?
or indeed, something else!

Am I correct in thinking that either is grammatically possible?
Is it grammatical or theological reasoning that leads most translations
that I have read to prefer the first alternative?
