For what it is worth, you are in good company. My English copy of the
Apostolic Fathers, edited by Fr. Jack Sparks of the Orthodox Study Bible
project, published by Light & Life Publlishing, 1978, renders the first
verses of Chapter seven:

But you, Hermas, do not any longer bear a grudge against your children nor
leave your sister to herself, so that they may be cleansed of their former
sins. For they will be disciplined with a just discipline if you do not
bear a grudge against them. Bearing a grudge produces death.
