If you have access to BDF [ Blass-Debrunner-Funk: Greek Grammar of the New
Testament, Chicago 1961 ] you might like to look at ss. 267.2

BTW, did you note that rare NT form, the optative in:
TO TIS AN EIH MEIZWN AOUTWN. ?

11 of the 12 occurrences of the optative of EIMI are in Luke-Acts.
