As I pondered further Keith's question as to how Paul could have
expressed repeated visits during a fourteen year period, I thought
either the imperfect (ANEBAINON) or the aorist (ANEBHN) modified by EPI
governing the accusative or genitive temporal noun as in Acts 13.31;
16.18; 27.20; Heb 1.2; 11.30; 2 Pet 3.3 would be one way to express
time during which repeated actions took place. Do you think this is
sound? Louw-Nida 67.136 says EPI may be a marker "of the extent of time
within a unit — 'during, in the course of, within, for'" and gives Acts
13.31 as an example.
