AQEWNTAI hAI hAMARTIAI AUTHS hAI POLLAI, hOTI HGAPHSEN POLU

This verse is also an exercise for conjunctions, this time for hOTI.

The conjunction seems to me best translated as rendering grounds, the
evidence that her many sins have been forgiven. It may be possible that the
verse can be understood as her sins being forgiven as a result of her loving
much.

My question though is about the tense/aspect of the pluperfect verb, AQEWNTAI
how to understand the significance of the verb tense.

Carl, this is sent plain text. Forgive my forgetting on that last, too
lengthy post.

Thanks,

Richard Smith
