Assuming the participles DIDASKONTES and BAPTIZONTES are participles of
means (CJ Armstrong's point about their possibly not being means is
understood and interesting) could it be said that the main verb
(MAQETUESATE) would not be completed until the participles that described it
were completed?

I freely acknowledge that this might be another question that cannot be
answered by the Grammar alone, but I am compelled to try. :)
