INTERNATIONAL SOLVENT EXTRACTION CONFERENCE - ISEC `96
"Value Adding Through Solvent Extraction"
17-21 March 1996
Melbourne, Australia
The next in the series of International Solvent Extraction
Conferences will be held in Melbourne, Australia in March
1996. These conferences are held every two to three years
around the world and bring together those people active in
the field of solvent extraction.
The 1990's have presented the world a challenge for inter-
national competitiveness in all aspects of manufacturing.
Success in this new world market will be achieved through
"value added" products produced at lowest cost and best
quality. Already adding value to many processes, solvent
extraction will need to remain competitive with new
technologies and continue its diversification to provide
novel economic solution's to tomorrow's challenges.
The technical programme will include oral and poster
presentations. Topics of interest include, but are not
limited to:
fundamentals of solvent extraction
extractants and diluents
metal extraction
liquid membranes
supercritical extraction
hydrometallurgy
simulations and modelling
nuclear fuel applications
extraction equipment and design
effluents and the environment
biotechnology and petrochemical applications
organic and inorganic product applications
process economics
A call for abstracts will be made in mid-1994. Successful
authors will then be asked to prepare a manuscript that will
be published in the conference proceedings.
