In view of the fact that there is only the one article, I rather think that
a single group is described in two ways; it could be turned thus: "those
saints and faithful brothers in Christ (who are) at Colossae." Maybe it's
silly, but personally, I've never really liked using the archaic "brethren"
for ADELFOI in the special Christian sense.
