I wonder if the syntax which understands KLHTOS APOSTOLOS as "called to be
an apostle" strikes anyone else as strange or unusual? Also, are there any
other examples (outside of Paul's letters) of KLHTOS in apposition with
another substantive with the resulting meaning "called to be <whatever>"?
